I'm back in So-Cal, hurah! And I'm starting on that long road to FD-hood, again. Actually, I feel like I started up it a year ago, and that I'm almost "there", though I suppose it's more of a journey than a destination.
I'm "quite excite" about the work I've started on: I'm taking on the Activated subscriptions. That includes processing the subs as they come in, answering questions on email and phone, and mailing all those mags. I'll probably be taking on other jobs in the future but for now, I'm getting this down as well I can, and I rather like it.
Ahh and the sun! My skin is turning from yellow and grey back to the wonderful brown tone that it was meant to be, HAL EH LOO YAH! But beauty is pain, yes sir. A couple weeks ago, I decided I'd had enough of tan lines; I wanted to tan with just a little "less" clothing, ahem. Therefore, I found myself a large rock (referred to me by a "reliable source") in a secluded area of our property and stretched myself out like a lizard to catch those glory-rays. About thirty seconds later I received several visitors, the buzzing kind. The "we-like-flowers-and-stinging" kind. I sat up because they seemed awfully close and awfully loud, and found they had lodged their buzzing bodies in my HAIR.
I, not being the panicky type yet not so fond of their company, leisurely shook my hair to dislodge the buzzers. Don't think they liked it much, cause that's when I got stung. Then my fury was enraged. But how do you kill a bee that's stuck in your hair? Squish it between your hand and a hard place...even that hard place happens to be your own head-- trust me, it'll die. You may look silly, but it'll die.Yeh, Iwassmackingmyownheadtoputtorestthedurnbuzzingwhilestumblingthroughthebushesbarefoottowardthecabinhalfnaked.
Good thing no one saw that part. Might have been embarrassing.
Got two stings and splinters in my feet from all the foliage I trekked through. But did that stop me from catching glory-rays? Not a chance. To this day I bravely sun my yellow skin, baring my body to the bees, showing them that they CANNOT KEEP A GOOD MAN DOWN!
Selah.
